Mrs. Mandy E. Morrow, wife of W.T. Morrow, was born March the 15, 1854; died Aug the 19, 1930, age 76 years 5 months and 4 days. She was united in marriage to W.T. Morrow in the year 1886, to this union 5 children were born, one boy, Alonzo, 1215 N. Main Ave., Springfield, Mo., 4 daughters: Mrs. Walter Jones, Dixon, Mo. R.4; Mrs. James Jones, 3117 Barthold Ave., Maplewood, Mo.; Mrs. B.F. Jenkins Iberia, Mo.; Mrs. J.A. Teeples, Crocker, Mo. R1. 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and also 2 sisters, Mrs. Johney Jones, Dixon, Mo. R4; Mrs. Henry Jones, Dixon Mo. $5; and Mrs. James Comstock of Silver Springs, Florida. Sister Morrow lived all of her life in this community where she died. She was a member of the Christian Church, had been for 45 years. She was sorely afflicted, lost her sight, blind for 11 years, also afflicted with an incurable malady which caused her death on the date above mentioned, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B.F. Jenkins in Iberia. The funeral services were conducted at the Union Church near Brays, consisting of singing, reading a scripture lesson, prayer by Bro. Geo. Jones. Arthur E. Jenkins, 84, of Rte. 2, Meta, died Thursday, June 10, 1976, at Memorial Community Hospital in Jefferson City, where he had been a patient since June 6. Mr. Jenkins was born Oct. 31, 1891 near Ulman, the son of Benjamin Fredrick and Clara (Sanders) Jenkins. He was married on Sept 17, 1913, in Ulman to Minnie Lee Witt, who preceded him in death on May 16, 1945. On Dec. 30, 1953, he was married to Esther Anderson Holtmeyer, who survives of the home. Mr. Jenkins lived most of his life in Miller and Maries counties where he farmed. He had also been a carpenter at Ft. Leonard Wood. In April of 1953, he became a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jefferson City, and was a former member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge in Ulman, Mo. Surviving are three sons, Oliver Jenkins of Downey, Calif., Gene Jenkins of Pico Revira, Calif., and Curtis Jenkins of Rush Hill; six daughters, Mrs. Ethel Wertz of Downey, Calif., Mrs. Eunice Ogilbee of Bell Gardens, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Edwards of Tuscumbia, Mrs. Helen Martin of Hartsburg, Mrs. Ruby Kemp of Laddonia, and Mrs. Tracy Wilma of Bell Gardens, Calif.; four brothers, Walter Jenkins of New Bloomfield, Jake Jenkins of Cedar City, Marion Jenkins of Rolla, and Milton Jenkins of Tecumseh, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Kirk of Crane, Ore., and Mrs. Sada Senor of Gold Hill, Ore.; 1 half-sister, Mrs. Dorothy Sullivan of Garden Grove, Calif.; two half brothers, Clarence Jenkins and Robert Jenkins, both of the state of California; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia, with the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Jackson Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Roger Edwards, Russell Martin, David Kemp, Bill Kemp, Danny Jenkins, Mike Jenkins, Larry Martin and Ronnie Ogilbee.

The Eldon Advertiser, Thursday, August 5, 1981
Mrs. Arminta (Mint) Jenkins Wyrick, Willow Creek Apartments, Eldon, died Friday, July 30, 1982, at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born Feb. 12, 1897, at Ulman to Charles P. and Jane Sanders Jenkins. Feb. 15, 1914, she was married at Ulman to Cloudy Wyrick, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Wyrick was a member of the Ulman Baptist Church. Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Bonnot, Eldon; two sons, Bernie Wyrick, Russellville, and James Wyrick Gary, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Mingus, Springfield; and 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Zion Christian Church near Tuscumbia with the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Griswold-Kays Funeral Home.

Jewel H. Wilson, 59, Dixon, died today at the Universtiy of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia. He was born Aug. 19, 1924, in Miller County, the son of Leonard and Frankie Wilson. His mother survives at Iberia.  On Oct. 31, 1942, he was married at Tuscumbia to Emogene Blankenship, who survives of the home. Mr. Wilson was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the V.F.W. Post, Iberia, and the Mt. Gilead Church, Iberia. Other survivors include: two sons, Ernie Wilson and Jim Wilson, both of Iberia; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Blankenship, Iberia; five brothers, Spurgeon Wilson, Junior Wilson, Bobby Wilson, and Kenneth Wilson, all of Iberia, and George Wilson, state of Michigan; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Humphrey, and Mrs. Margaret Cochran, both of Iberia, and Mrs. Ruby Mees, Phoenix, Ariz.; and six grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home Chapel, Iberia, with Brother Larry Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Pankey Cemetery, near Iberia.  Millitary graveside rites will be conducted by the Fort Leonard Wood Mortuary Team. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Services for Ruby Pauline Kemp, 52, of Mexico, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in Iberia. The Rev. Marvin Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery in nearby Ulman. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Kemp died Tuesday at her home. She was born Dec. 4, 1933, in Ulman to Arthur and Minnie Witt Jenkins. On April 2, 1955, she married Floyd Thomas Kemp, who survives at the home. Other survivors include three sons, Daniel, of Mexico and William and Jerry, both of Columbia; one daughter, Nora Sue McCann of Napton; three brothers, Oliver Jenkins of downing, Calif., Gene Jenkins of Whittier, Calif., and Curtis Jenkins of Rush Hill; five sisters, Ethel Wertz of Downing, Calif., Eunice Ogilbee and Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, both of Tuscumbia, Helen Martin of Hartsburg, and Tracy Wilms of Los Angeles; three grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Mrs. Kemp was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Kemp, who moved to the Mexico area in 1955, was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

Lonnie J. Jenkins, 41, of New Bloomfield, died Thursday [15 Sept 1988] at his home. He was born of Lawrence and Alma May Sanders Jenkins. He was married on Aug. 31, 1978, at Jefferson City, to Alison Essen, who survives at the home. His mother, Alma Cuno, survives at Jefferson City. Mr. Jenkins was the administrtor for A & M Home Health Services of Jefferson City and was a member of the Gold Wingers. Other survivors include, one daughter, Monica Jenkins, Fulton: three sons, David Eugene Jenkins, Iberia, John Atkin and Jerry Atkin, both of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Kemp, Mexico, Betty Etter, Jefferson City; one brother, Lawrence Jenkins, Calwood. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Saturday at the Debo Golden Rule Chapel, Holts Summit, with Rev. James W. Kalthoff officiating. Burial will be in the Summit Memorial Park Cemetery, Holts Summit. Visitation will be from 4-8pm today at the funeral home.

Clarence S. Wilson, 74, Iberia, died Saturday at the Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia. He was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Miller County near Iberia, a son of McKinley and Laura Thompson Wilson. He served during World War II in the U. S. Army. He retired from civil service at Fort Leonard Wood in 1973. He was a member of the International Order of Oddfellows in Crocker and VFW Post 4956 in Crocker. Survivors include: three sons, Dudley Ray Brown, Sterlington, LA, Robert Wilson, Vallejo, Calif.; and Larry Wilson, Iberia; three daughters, Dolly Ware, Otterville, Patsy Harmon, Iberia, and Ollie Faye Wilson, Carrolton; two brothers, Archie Wilson, Vienna and Myrl Wilson, St. Charles; two step-brothers, Howard Jones, Mountain Grove, and Ralph Jones, Vienna; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Elton Dake will officiate. Burial will be in the Jim Matt Lawson Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral.

She was married at Vienna to Estal Allen, who died June 4, 1981. She was a retired housekeeper. Survivors include: six sons, Estal Allen, Anguilla, Miss., George Allen, Chicago, Ill., Steve Allen and Jimmy Allen, both of Iberia, Don Allen, Eldon, and Mark Allen, Crocker; four daughters, Gertrude Summers and Mary Jenson, both of Romulus, Mich., Goldie Block, Pesthiglo, Wis., and June Pulford, Livonia, Mich.; one brother, Raymond Jenkins, Russellville; two sisters, Eula Cole, Wewella, S.D., and Myrtle Boulware, Dixon; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stevinson-Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia, with the Rev. John Bouldrey officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

She was married Aug 8, 1920, to Leonard Wilson, who died May 29, 1963. She worked for the Fort Leonard Wood Hospital and PX, and at L.B. Manufacturing, Iberia. She also worked with her husband on their farm for many years. She was a member of Brays Advent Christian Church near Iberia, and the Freemont Watkins American Legion Auxiliary Post 105, Iberia. Survivors include: five sons, Spurgeon Wilson, Leonard Wilson Jr., Bobby Wilson and Kenneth Wilson, all of Iberia, and George Wilson, Manistique, Mich.; three daughters, Edna Humphrey and Margaret Cochran, both of Iberia, and Ruby Mees, Chandler, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. One son, Jewel Wilson, died Aug 24, 1983. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. David Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday with an American Legion Auxiliary service at 6 p.m.

He was a mechanic and retired from Springfield City Utilities in 1974.  He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the A.T.U. Local 691, Springfield. Other survivors include one brother, Travis Jenkins, Holts Summit, and two sisters, Bessie Simmons, Buffalo, and Geraldene Jackson, Springfield. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bolivar. The Rev. Tom Mustain will officiate. Services are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit.

Survivors include: one son, Bill Wilson, Jefferson City; two daughters, Ida Irwin and Flora Copeland, both of Iberia; one stepdaughter, Ruth Dake, Iberia; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. One son, Vernia Wilson and one grandson, preceded her in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Earl Skidds will officiate.
